Il design Made in Italy incontra lo spirito della West Coast americana, dove a Santa Monica un originale progetto residenziale firmato dall’architetto romano Livia Tomiselli di LTA+D, ci ha visti collaborare nella ricerca del materiale più idoneo.
Affacciata sulla baia, coccolata dalle onde del Pacifico, la villa su tre livelli occupa una residenza degli anni’40, di cui si sono voluti mantenere elementi originali mescolati a sorprendenti soluzioni di arredo per gli interni in accordo con la passione per l’arte del proprietario.
Nel segno della sapienza artigiana più esclusiva, è stata scelta la pietra Grigio perla, quale materiale più utilizzato per pavimenti e rivestimenti cambiando finiture ed abbinandoli tra di loro, sia per l’interno che per l’esterno. Formati e spessori differenti sono stati lavorati non solo con macchinari particolari, ma spesso manualmente per ottenere dei pezzi unici. Con le stesse caratteristiche, la gestione e realizzazione del progetto della sontuosa cucina, utilizzando materiali che non presentassero problemi a contatto con gli acidi, proponendo una Breccia Imperiale selezionata tra più blocchi e testata con numerose sostanze acidule.
Raffinato e dal design particolare il rivestimento del mobile del camino, selezionando più blocchi di Grey Stone con differenti toni di colore abbinati a “macchia aperta”.
